And this struck home with me because I went through something so similar! I stayed with an agent who is a superstar, but she and I just weren't right for each other. I realized that I needed something different than she could give me, and while it was tough making that break and being 'alone' again, it ended up being the best thing. I've since found an agent that is a much better fit for me and now the career path I'd envisioned myself on has materialized. Good for you for entering the contest!
