I love writing short stories-I like the instant gratification and the discipline of trying to get everything I need into a short word count.
Occasionally these days I get asked if I want to contribute short stories to anthologies or collections and if I have the time I'll always say yes!

I read this with interest, hoping for writing tips. Every time I've tried to write a short story in the past, it morphed into a novel. However, a short story popped out of my head last week and it is most definitely a short story. Still, my experience in polishing one is extremely limited.

Does anyone have book or website recommendations for writing and revising short stories? Thank you!
