Linda, it was a lightning bolt for me!
Kate, so true. I pulled out the first dog-eared copy of my manuscript for Sidelined by Love and what a difference a couple of years makes! I’m glad someone saw promise in that first three chapters…because after reading them, I can’t believe the story that made it to print is the same one!
It’s funny, Kim, what makes us take that plunge. I don’t regret the years that passed…it made it easy to find my voice (after all, I’d been “hearing” it for many years!) There is a time and a season for everything, it’s true.

You are absolutely right. It took a wake up call about my health to make me realize that I really did need to sit down and write that book!
And yes, the writing process is fluid and ongoing-but you also have to remember that you can only make it as good as you can at that point in your writing journey and not hold onto stuff forever.
