Thor’s Hammer…

Posted by Tianna on 31 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: Books, Good News, Promotion

My new novella Thor’s Hammer will be released through eXtasy Books tomorrow, February 1st 2007. A year ago, if someone would have told me I would be multi-published now, I would have thought them crazy. So far my novels Virgin’s Blood and Alicia: The Awakening have been getting rave reviews by online reviewers.

You can find the reviews and excerpts by going to my website www.tiannaxander.com and clicking the links on the home page. I’m so excited.

Thor’s Hammer Blurb:

: Emma Thornton has lost nearly everyone she loves. When her parent’s die, she beseeches her pagan God Thor for help. But her pleas fall on deaf ears.

Thor, depressed after his mate leaves him and thinking of his own needs, doesn’t hear the pleas and prayers of his followers. He only sees the consequences of his actions after Odin warns him of the coming of Ragnarok. He must procreate to balance the energies of the nine worlds.

After an accident that nearly kills her brother and puts him in a coma, Emma returns to her parent’s graves and renounces the God she once relied on.

Can Thor convince her that he will never fail her again?

Hello everyone,

Weekly Topic for Jan, 22-28 What’s in your…

Posted by Lynnette on 23 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: Chit Chat, Weekly Topics

Sorry, I’m late for this week’s topic.  I forgot what day of the week it was already…  So, the topic for this week is:

Remember those spreads in Glamour about a dozen years ago where a celebrity would dump her purse out and let the world see what she carried around all day? Loved those– can we do a virtual purse-dumping? Or “writing bag?” When you truck off to Starbuck’s for a latte and window on life, what are you carrying around with you? Even a “what’s on your desk?” Or what’s in your top drawer?

Weekly Topic–How did you make your first sale?

Posted by Lynnette on 15 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: Chit Chat, Weekly Topics, Writing Life

It’s Monday again, therefore time to post this week’s weekly discussion topic for the week of:  Jan 15-Jan 21.

This week’s topic is:  “How did you make your first sale?”

How many books did the author complete before selling … how long it took that “winning” manuscript to go from submission to sale … whether there was an agent involved … and what, if anything, made the final difference in going from unpubbed to pubbed.

I can’t wait to hear everyone’s first sale stories.

Weekly Topic: Jan 8-Jan 14

Posted by Lynnette on 09 Jan 2007 | Tagged as: Chit Chat, Weekly Topics, Writing Life

Hello everyone,

It’s time for our first weekly topic, so please feel free to chime in with your answers.  If readers have any other questions along this vein, don’t be afraid to post them here.

For full time authors: Do you spend 8 hours a day writing? What are you doing in that 8 hours, typing on a keyboard, researching, marketing, emailing, etc? If your truly writing for 8 hours, what is your word count, page count, chapter count?

How long does it take you to typically write a book? A couple of months, a year? If your taking say six months to write one book how long did it take you to write your first draft?

Please post your comments and questions here.
